ISO Protection Class - 4 / 10
Insurance Services Office, Inc. developed the classification or protection class for Crook County Fire & Rescue; 4/10. The split classification was developed due to the size of the Fire District and the absence of municipal water systems in all outlying areas. Generally, the first class (4) applies to properties within a defined distance (5 road miles in most states) of a fire station. The second class (10) applies to properties beyond 5 road miles of a fire station.
