
Crook County Fire and Rescue (CCFR) is an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center. We offer both Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED (Adult, Child and Infant) along with Healthcare Provider BLS courses.
We also offer skill verifications for online blended eLearning AHA courses.
Class Location:
Classes are generally held monthly at CCFR Annex building at 205 NE 4th Street in Prineville.
Course Types
Heartsaver
These courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid and/or CPR/AED training for a job, regulatory ( e.g. OSHA) or other requirements. Heartsaver courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared to act in an emergency. There is no minimum age to get CPR certified as long as they are able to physically perform the hands on skills.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in hospital and pre-hospital settings.
Blended eLearning
This is a combination approach. The student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online followed by a hands on skill verification with a certified AHA instructor. After successful completion the student will be issued an AHA eCard.
