Fire Burns multiple outbuildings and camp trailers in Juniper Canyon

Crook County Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a fire in a camp trailer in the Juniper Canyon area SE of Prineville on Sunday May 27th at 14:15pm.  Crews arrived to find multiple fully involved out buildings and trailers.  Two structure engines, 1 BLM wildland engine, two water tenders and an ambulance responded to the scene.  The ¾ acre wildfire, buildings and trailers took about 30 minutes to contain.  Crews remained on scene mopping up until 17:15.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation but likely originated in one of the outbuildings.

Regulated Burn – Burn Barrels and Debris piles allowed from 9:00am to sunset, in accordance with the Burn Regulations
