Crook County Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a working structure fire in a rural manufacturing plant NE of Prineville on Allen Creek Road at 1346 in the afternoon on Thursday June 7th. Crews arrived to find active fire burning in a wall and attic space inside one of the shop buildings. 2 structure engines, 2 wildland engines, 1 water tender and 1 medic unit responded to the scene. It took crews almost two hours to bring the deep seated blaze under control. Crook County Fire and Rescue was assisted by crews from Oregon Department of Forestry, Forrest Service, Crook County Sheriff’s Office and Redmond Fire. The fire caused significant damage to one of the plant’s shop buildings. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
