Crook County Fire and Rescue is seeking interested individuals for a Shift Captain position. CCFR will be establishing a lateral employment list to fill two current vacancies. External applicants must be a current or former classified officer, preferably from a similar sized department, with at least five years experience in a career Captain or Lieutenant level or higher position and meet all other minimum qualifications found in this announcement. The District will also be establishing an entry level employment list that may be used in the event sufficient lateral candidates are not available and/or future positions become available consistent with CCFR Civil Service Rules. Internal and external candidates who are interested in consideration for Captain positions are encouraged to apply for placement on both this Lateral Captain list as well as the concurrent entry level list.
