At approximately 1 pm Crook County Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a barn fire. Crews arrived to find a fully involved barn burning North of Prineville. The barn was a complete loss but the homeowner was able to get the animals out of the barn before it was fully engulfed. Three engines and two water tenders responded to fire. Oregon Department of Forestry also responded to help with some minimal spread to the wildland. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
